When I work, I absolutely love having my sketchbook open next to me with random, pointless drawings in displayed. I will occasionally add to it, but when I'm tasking away on the computer and I glance over and am surprised by what I see, it is AMAZING! I literally forget that I drew or painted something and see it in a new way. My favorite is when the colors are that terrific brightness that you simply cannot achieve with print reproduction.
Just a thought. Fodder for the mind as they say.
