A few months ago, we had some friends visit from Australia and we wanted to paint them something special that said 'WELCOME'! Kangaroos and Wallabies featured heavily in the initial ideas... then Angie struck a chord. "How about a Warhol tribute? Like soup cans or something?" She proffered. We both love Warhol and after several ideas (Koalas and Hugh Jackman!) we settled on Vegemite. Yes, the same stuff that Men At Work mentioned in Land Down Under. So I got started drawing and doing color separations, cutting stencils and choosing paint. The final piece was 30x40 and I simply LOVE IT!
