Funny thing about drawing someone that you know, you are IMMEDIATELY transported to the moment of the drawing, either in experience or execution (usually both) the every time you see it. Groups too-ish. In this drawing, she was standing on the ‘shore’ of Sikes Lake in Wichita Falls TX. This is one of the earliest concepts of ‘The Sideshow Monsters Club’. A story of aliens, monsters and other creatures who just want to live in obscurity here on good ol’ earth after being hunted by the intergalactive normalcy police. But, it died on the vine after a bunch of concepting. Why follow through when you can just move on to the next thing. Creating ideas is the fun part. Producing them is work. We spent some time in Ghana in the fall of 2010. It was a life-alterning experience. I would like everyone to travel to west Africa at some time in their lives. The people are simply amazing.
