God bless humans who can cultivate an idea into an icon. I know corporations do it all the time, spending millions and tens of thousands of hours, but when one person can carry an idea through decades and hundreds of iterations... I find that amazing.
I think I've told the story before of passing on an opportunity to buy a Blue Dog print before George died and then later regretted it as the value skyrocketed and I realized that, sadly, there would be no more Blue Dogs birthed at his hand. Thanks to Ms Angie McClain for this wonderful little gift from the Amarillo Museum of Art. In my own little way, I like to think I DO have a GR original piece now. What a doll!
