Great, I spent an entire week handing out business cards, only to learn that my website has been ripped into in the meantime... worldwide followers of my balogna are being greeted with an evil cat....
sigh!
We got a chance to see the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) while down south. Amazing building and grounds and their collection is beautiful. I highly recommend it.
So many things in NO. Buorbon street, yuck. Weird and interesting, but I can't understand the draw for people day after day. There are two extremes: weird perverted heterosexual drinking establishments and weird, perverted homosexual drinking establishments. And there are rats, and bugs and the smell. OH GAWD! Why do people love this again? NO herself is a charming if icky at times town. Algiers was amazing, as was the northern side of the city.
We did get to see the Degas House (both of 'em) and picked up some lovely artsy stuff (a GLASS pen).
More photos to come and as always, they're on my flicker stream.
