I started a painting of a turtle floating over a sleeping woman. In the preliminary stages, I realized I would need turtle reference. I found this terrific template on the web of a Papercraft sea-turtle. I've been folding papercraft for a while now and decided to give it a try. It was a lot of work and a few errors, but the results are great. It's like the anti-rapid prototype machine: Slow, clumsy inaccurate. But I think these are more works of art than faithful duplications of a 3d object created in a virtual world.
Of course... I put THIS GUY to shame with my mad folding and glueing skills... still, I thought you might enjoy what a novice paper-crafter can do.
