An interesting fellow from the Geek Bar at Siggraph, as well as a modification of Disney's newest villian in the Princess and the Frog which, incidentally, is full of magic and voodoo. What an interesting and vile choice Disney. Live jazz musicians at Siggraph and a ketchup bottle and salt shaker from a restaurant where we had dinner.

This was a sculpture I passed on my way to the sessions one morning. The 'piano keys' were actually blocks of glass and your have to rotate the page 90 clockwise to see it's true nature.

These are my notes from the visual cognition lab and a FANTASTIC old oil well head sticking out of the middle of a parking lot/sidewalk in downtown New Orleans. It's just like something you would find in it's glory out in the mesquite fields of west Texas, but right there in the middle of full-blown society. Rusted and broken, I can't imagine it serves any purpose anymore, save a sculptural one. Near the corner of Fulton and St Joseph, New Orleans, LA

And the people. People from the Pelican Bar, Sheraton New Orleans, NOLA. I wasn't feeling well one evening, so I went down from our room and sat in the bar. I had a glass of lemonade and free peanuts while I spied on everyone. It was an amazing variety of people and it was fun to watch new people being introduced and those who obviously knew each other for many many years.
