The Scroll-looking thing was a printer... it printed the growth of a plant over 48 hrs... every 1/2 hr or so it would look at the plant and make a silo image of it on the roll of paper (vertical here, on the wall it was horizontal). The little shrimp creature was inspired by a cartoon I saw drawn on the side of a newspaper box and the ice cream sunday? Well, that was just a delicious desert.
