Austin Kleon get's a post on Drawn regarding his 'non-precious' approach to sketchbooks. Why does this make me feel jealous? It's AWESOME work that the guy is doing a great job at, I should be (am) glad he's getting recognition. In fact, this Newspaper Blackout concept is FABULOUS! I think maybe it's the fact that some ideas are so simple, so great, that when someone else thinks of if before you, you can kick yourself because instead of coming up with GREAT, you were watching (insert lame, mind-sucking television show here).
I'm glad to be alive today. The world has always been full of amazing work and terrific ideas, but it's only with the advent of technology and communication that we can fully realize just what is out there and experience it for ourselves, every day.
