Well, I decided to flex my influential muscle with both of you to encourage the EFII crew to maybe do an interview or follow up with the Jim Thorpe team or maybe some local talent... let's see if this develops.

Hey Thomas. Great job on the site and the podcasts are a godsend. I know you are always looking for possible interviewees. Here are a couple of illustrators I know and respect.
Anthony Freda www.anthonyfreda.com
Victor Stabin www.victorstabin.com
Marshall Arisman www.marshallarisman.com
these guys do a workshop in the NE during the summer. I was there last year and it was great.
Visual Narrative Workshop
thoughts from last year
First Blush
Soaking In
The Sketchbook
Don't worry, I'm not an insider shill, I just really enjoyed the workshop and meeting these super-talented artists.
Some local guys that really kick butt:
Greg McCullough www.artifx.com
Jack Unruh www.jackunruh.com
Greg is a hardcore advertising illustrator and not technically a local since he moved to Virginia. He started with an airbrush and has successfully made a digital transition. He's done work for pretty much every product company in existence and spends A LOT of his time now illustrating for Disney. The touchy-feely side of 'my message' that Bob Staake talked about isn't even in his vocabulary. He's an art whore and it's done him very well.
Jack Unruh, the antithesis to Greg McCullough's work. Jack is loose and free and simply inspiring.
Anyway, if you can use any of this, happy hunting… in any case, I realy enjoy your work.
