Good times the last few weeks. We've had our district convention, which was as reinvigorating spiritually the way Jim Thorpe was creatively. I've signed on for auxiliary pioneering in September. For you non-witness types, that means I agreed to engage in the volunteer Bible teaching work for a total of 50 hours in September. I usually average about 12. So it will be a great exercise in planning and time management.
We got to work with a great group of our friends over the weekend. Angie got stuck at her secular job, but I was invited to oversee the roofing of a kingdom hall in Oklahoma City. The local regional building committee (RBC) was recently split into two different sides and this new crew only had 4 people on board. We are debating the best way to implement new safety protocols sent down from our branch. They seem a little extreme, but we'll work out something practical. It was nice because we had 23 people from Texas from 3 different RBC crews and we all worked along like we had years of experience together.
Tomorrow it's back to the stresses of everyday life though. For now, good night!
