Two friends walk
Apart but always
Together parallel
Never more than
a thought away.
Journeys continue,
Packaging our loves
And our losses
To share together
Over coffee (or tea)
At some destination
In the world.
At some time
In space.
So, this memory
I set upon my shelf.
Sometimes dusty
And worn.
Lost for a
Time, but
Far
Far
From forgotten.
It is very new and old,
This thing.
And loved,
Then shared.
So that we both own it
And treasure it
Beyond imagination
While simultaneously
Treat it like the
Least of things.
Unique moments
In the human
Experience,
None like it
Exists in all
Of creation.
