So, this has been a long long time in the process. I've completed two other books in the time it's taken me to upload all of the pages of number 29!

Fiddle-head. This old guy was just sawing away at his violin on the raucous corner of a street nearby bouron.

Opposite fiddle-head, there was this great french-victorian house, here is a detail of the second and third floor windows. A fat tourist and the golden cowboy.

Cafe DuMond was easily one of my favorite experiences. It was packed at 1 in the morning and all they served were donuts and coffee (drinks). There was powdered sugar everywhere. The large female in the drawing above was french and oooozed attitude, as in 'I've got better places to be, but I HAVE to be here serving you slobs!'

Various Cafe DuMonde customers and waiters.

Eventually, doodling in your sketchpad becomes quite the spectator sport. I had about 8 people looking over my should and the pressure was intense for silly late-night skribbles... but they enjoyed watchign ans we got a few pics for fun. Oh, in the lower right... that' the attitude laden frenchman (woman).
The right hand side was a page I put together on the ferry crossing the Mississippi.

Work from the New Orleans Museum of Art. Wow, nice place. I highly recommend you block out a day if you can afford it and visit.

More NOMA copies.

The End. Literally, this was filled at the Blue Dog Cafe in Lafayette on Sunday morning as we drove home. It was a good week.
