In August, a friend brought me the best sketchbook I've ever had. He purchased it in Rome and is a leather covered 120 page book. It is simply wonderful. It took me 3 months to fill it and the following posts are it's contents. Incidentally, the 'DM' is a brand my dad me... it is very cool, especially when you get it RED HOT. The campsite at Possum Kingdom has about 50 different branded places.

Book number 29! I asked my buddy to pull some stickers for me while he was there. Onione and Boogy are the results. Slapped up on the other side of the world, now they're captive in my book, page one. The renderman box was a gift to my boss. Inside is a collector's edition walking teapot.

It's a shamed that hand-written letters are like dinosaurs these days... I love writing. When we were in New Orleans we found this great little pen shop on Royal that was run by this great French guy. Angie got a beautiful little handmade sketchbook and I got a wax seal. Sadly, I don't use it much, probably about like the brand I mentioned above. But it is very cool. The rest of this stuff... who knows, just weird doodles.

A buffalo in the Wichita Mountains, which aren't really mountains, but if you consider it relatively, they are quite large for southern oklahoma and north texas.

Killer whales are trained to jump by conditioning. They are taught to avoid a bar underwater, then gradually over a number of weeks the bar is raised higher and higher until they break the surface of the pool. Eventually, they learn to jump over the bar, then the bar is removed... like Pavlov's dogs, the whale continues to perform for a treat, never realizing that they were conditioned.
