I was a regular contributor to Illustration Friday for a while. IF is one of those contribution sites where you get a theme and then everyone does a drawing that week based on the theme. Drawings get posted online and garner likes. It's a good exercise but there's no tangible payment for participation. The doing is it's own reward. One week after the topic was 'Paisley' and I did 2 or three paisley designs for the contribution and learned a bit about the history of the paisley design. Did you know it was of eastern/arabic origin before being cooped by a little town named Paisley in Scotland?
Anyway, I had fun with the drawings and decided to keep up the pace for one month. Behold: 30 days of Paisley!
